Having had a bad experience with Online PC Backup that goes under many different "Cloud" names, we had been looking around for other online back up solutions. Like Carbonite, Mozy is one of the early online backup services. We used Carbonite in a multi PC environment and it was easy to use, but Mozy offers stronger features for power users. Mozy now offers a much more friendly and intuitive interface, without losing any of the power.

Mozy doesn’t offer folder sharing like DropBox and if you want to stream music or look at a photo galleries in a browser you will need to look elsewhere. Mozy's backup features, however, are excellent. At setup, it asks which file types you want to back up, then searches for them in the most common places in your folders and desktop. It is easy to add or exclude folders with a right-click. Mozy can also be used to copy your backup to an external hard disk as it uploads data, saving you time having to do two backup procedures.

One of the biggest advantages we can see is its free offering of 2GB to the home user or small business computer and one of the main reasons why we recommend it here.
